Where it began
Before Healing Den was a skincare line, it began with an organic esthetics practice, a family conversation, and a search for a simple solution for healthier skin.
A growing necessity
A natural solution for sensitive skin.
When Carley developed severe eczema, our family struggled to find care gentle enough for her skin without relying on steroid creams. Our search for a lasting, natural solution led us to grass-fed tallow and inspired us to create the Whipped Tallow Moisturizer with an intentionally short ingredient list for even the most sensitive skin.
Expanding our reach
From our house to yours.
We began sharing our products, and tallow became part of Leslie’s studio care. From there, we expanded to local stores, markets, and community events. Our signature blue jars travel farther now, but the work is still done as a family.
The Healing Den difference
Not all tallow is created equal.
Exceptional skincare begins with an exceptional source. We choose locally sourced, grass-fed beef tallow from Ontario farmers close to home, render only suet, and pair it with a short list of purposeful ingredients. Nothing is added simply to fill a jar.
The source matters
We know where our tallow comes from. Choosing local Ontario farms gives us a closer connection to the people, animals, and quality behind our most important ingredient.
Only suet
We use only suet—the firm fat surrounding the kidneys and the cow’s most vitamin-rich source of tallow. Careful rendering gives our finished products a clean, neutral finish with no beefy smell.
Simple by intention
Our formulas are deliberately uncomplicated: nourishing tallow, organic jojoba oil, and carefully chosen ingredients that each have a reason to be there.
Made by our family
Every formula is handmade in Ontario and personally filled and finished by us. We stand behind each jar because our own hands—and our family name—are on it.
